5 A DAY, EVERY DAY MADE EASY
Mealtimes can often be a source of conflict and distress at home, particularly with young Autistic children. There is so much pressure out there for young children to eat their five a day, eat certain amounts of certain foods to be healthy, and that parents are failing if these strict and non-flexible guidelines are not being adhered to.
Your child is not being “picky” or “challenging”. Your child is simply sticking to what they feel is safe and provides emotional security. In this session, we look at how you can promote healthy nutrition without inadvertently cultivating a poor relationship with food in your child.
